As CEO, Eric Smith oversees all creative aspects and the production of Redwood Media Group.
Previously, Smith served as Vice President of Summit Business Media the leading worldwide producer of art shows and art-related trade publications including Artexpo Las Vegas, Art Miami, Art Business News, DÉCOR and Volume magazines.
Smith’s career began in international art business at renowned national art retailer Martin Lawrence Galleries. As Director, he managed over 20 galleries in California, Colorado and Hawaii and quickly developed a passion for modern and contemporary art, selling Warhol, Rosenquist, Rauschenberg, Oldenburg and Keith Haring.
Later, Smith went on to join Cleveland-based Advanstar Communications, where he served as director of sales for two major U.S. art tradeshows: Artexpo New York and Artexpo Los Angeles. In 1999, Smith created art21 Productions, a tradeshow company that organized art21 Las Vegas and the Palm Springs International Art Fair. After Pfingsten Publishing acquired art21 Productions in late 2000, Smith moved to Cleveland to join the company, which was purchased by Summit Business Media in 2006.
A true art insider, Smith’s expertise ranges from buying and selling art, to framing and hanging, to the auction world. Under Smith’s direction, Artexpo New York will continue as the leading trade show of the popular and fine art industries offering industry professionals access to thousands of wholesale works from artists and publishers from all over the globe under one roof.
With over 20 years of experience, Mr. Smith is a leading expert on the art market and the latest trends and forecasts. He is frequently asked to lecture at industry trade shows and conferences and is regularly quoted by the media.
Outside the office, Mr. Smith spends his time riding motorcycles, exercising, exploring the outdoors, and growing his private art collection. He lives in Palm Desert, California with his two daughters.
Dedicated to supporting artists promote their work and grow their businesses, Rick Barnett brings a wealth of successful experience to the ArtExpo team. Rick has extensive specialty retail expertise and a long career in the art industry. Prior to joining ArtExpo, he was the Senior Vice President of Retail Development for Media Arts Group Inc., where he designed and developed a worldwide retail chain of 400+ exclusive galleries, working with gallery owners and licensing partners around the globe. Bridging the corporate art world with hands-on retail experience, Mr. Barnett also owned and operated six fine art galleries in Monterey/Carmel and Southern California.
Mr. Barnett brings 30 years of executive management skill and knowledge to his role with ArtExpo. Mr. Barnett is a Time-Warner published author, has hosted television shows in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, and has been the on-air host for numerous trade and training media communication programs. Continually sought out for his art industry knowledge, Rick serves as a Contributing Editor to Art Business News.
In his current role of Managing Director of Business Development with Redwood Media Group, Rick is focused on joining seasoned and emerging Artists with both Publishers and Collectors.
With a career that spans 30 years, Linda is a leader in marketing, brand management, e-commerce and promotion initiatives for major retailers, specialty retail, art industry, licensing partnerships, media and entertainment, as well as entrepreneurial business environments. Now through her own company, LM² Art Marketing & Licensing, Linda brings her years of experience to help outstanding artists and art industry leaders set and achieve high goals.
Her expertise and strong track record of exceeding marketing and sales goals, building brands and driving business success makes her a vital part of any organization. Whether conceiving a breakthrough media-based retail concept for Discovery Channel, driving an integrated growth strategy of the core demographic as the chief architect of the Thomas Kinkade brand, overseeing every aspect of a major event, or coaching an emerging artist, Linda achieves success. She has built and managed branding, marketing, PR and communications programs. She has created programs that added multi-million dollar sales via directing strategic alliances and partnerships with Disney, Warner Bros., Elvis Presley Enterprises, NASCAR, Major League Baseball and others.
Linda’s expertise in the art and licensing industries, as a licensor, a licensee, and now a consultant and agent, has made her readily recognized for her expertise and strategic approach to integrated brand and business strategies. Her engaging attitude, professional demeanor and clear ability to have fun and inspire others make Linda a persuasive change agent with strong consensus building skills and valuable insights into making every effort count!
Founded in 1992 out of her lower level basement and with only two customers, Litsa Spanos, President of ADC, Art Design Consultants, Inc. was determined to take her passion for art and bring beauty into as many homes and offices as possible. Her goal was to create comfortable and energizing environments for everyone to live and work in.
Currently, her vision continues to grow with a new 10,000 sq ft art gallery and framing facility, numerous residential, corporate and commercial clients, and various prestigious industry awards. Her company currently ranks in the top 2% of all women-owned business in the nation. Spanos’ dedication to her company is just as strong as her wanting to “give back” to the community. She has supported many non-profit organizations throughout the years including Pro-kids, The Cincinnati Opera, The Cincinnati Ballet, The SCAR Project, The Carnegie Arts Center and other deserving causes that pull at her heartstrings.
She joins the Artexpo seminar/education team this year to share the many strategies she has implemented throughout the years to help increase revenues and profits for her business

Jay Landrum, attorney at law with Landrum & Company, Inc., has extensive experience representing artists, art publishers, licensors and licensees in all stages of operation.
Within his Intellectual Property practice, his primary focus on contracts and licensing law includes artist and author representation, licensor/agent/licensee representation, business relationship agreements (such as dealer, distributor and manufacturer representative agreements) and technology transactions. He assists clients in developing tailored intellectual property portfolio protection and enforcement programs, handles trademark and copyright filings and enforcement, and provides counsel on employee theft and trade secret misappropriation.
While serving as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Media Arts Group, Inc., a NYSE company known for developing the popularity of such artists as Thomas Kinkade, Mr. Landrum was an integral part of the management team which developed one of the largest artist-based brands in the world. His creative, business oriented solutions were pivotal in the management of over 5000 dealers, and his development of minimum pricing policies greatly impacted the manner in which limited edition art has been sold within the industry.
