As CEO, Eric Smith oversees all creative aspects and the production of Redwood Media Group.
Previously, Smith served as Vice President of Summit Business Media the leading worldwide producer of art shows and art-related trade publications including Artexpo Las Vegas, Art Miami, Art Business News, DÉCOR and Volume magazines.
Smith’s career began in international art business at renowned national art retailer Martin Lawrence Galleries. As Director, he managed over 20 galleries in California, Colorado and Hawaii and quickly developed a passion for modern and contemporary art, selling Warhol, Rosenquist, Rauschenberg, Oldenburg and Keith Haring.
Later, Smith went on to join Cleveland-based Advanstar Communications, where he served as director of sales for two major U.S. art tradeshows: Artexpo New York and Artexpo Los Angeles. In 1999, Smith created art21 Productions, a tradeshow company that organized art21 Las Vegas and the Palm Springs International Art Fair. After Pfingsten Publishing acquired art21 Productions in late 2000, Smith moved to Cleveland to join the company, which was purchased by Summit Business Media in 2006.

Outside the office, Mr. Smith spends his time on the tennis court, riding motorcycles, exercising, exploring the outdoors, and growing his private art collection.
